Mykonos is accessible by air from different locations in Europe or from Athens (trip duration: 30 min). There are several daily flights from/to Athens and other parts of Greece depending on the time of year.
Mykonos Airport can accommodate jetliners, thus enabling direct flights from many European countries. Mykonos may also be reached by a rich variety of hydrofoil and ferryboats from the ports of Rafina and Piraeus. Ferry sailing times are 5 and 6 hours respectively. Hydrofoils however provide faster service of 2 and 4 hours respectively.
There are several Cyclades islands you can visit by ferry or hydrofoil, for example: Paros, Naxos, Amorgos, Tinos, Siros, Andros, Santorini, Folegandros and Crete. Tinos, Siros, Paros and Naxos are close enough to visit for a short day trip; other Aegean islands need minimum one night.
