Registration and Payment

1. How do I pay my registration fee?
Please check the website to print out the form(s) you need and send it/ them back to us by email to or by fax to +44 20 7255 2373. If there are any difficulties in getting the forms directly from the website, please do contact us directly.

2. Will I receive a confirmation of my registration?
Yes, all the participants' registrations will be confirmed; please ensure you give us your full details and especially your correct email address.

3. I wish to change my registration category.
Please contact the conference's organizers and, if you meet the eligibility criteria for the proposed category, we will let you as soon as possible.

4. I am a clinician in research training. Can I register as a PhD student?
No. The PhD student registration category is for non-clinical PhD students only. If you are studying for a higher research degree (MD, PhD, MS etc.) or completing specialist registrar training, then the 'Clinicians in research or clinical training' category applies to you. Only if you receive a studentship stipend you may register as a student.

5. I am a PhD student attending for one day only. Is there a special rate?
No. Full registration for a student is £300.00, and it is entirely up to the person involved if he or she wants to be present during one or all the three days.

6. I am a speaker at the conference; do I have to pay a registration fee?
Yes, everyone must pay a registration fee for this annual conference.

7. If I register as a full delegate and I am only there for one day, can my colleague attend in my place, actually sharing the registration?
No. Delegate badges cannot be shared between individuals. Each delegate must register for the conference and pay the corresponding registration fee.

8. Can I register on the day?
Yes, that is possible. On the other hand please be aware that conference room allocations are made on the basis of the interest expressed and this may conclude with the possibility of sessions becoming over- subscribed and people being turned away. The delegate can fill the registration form and give the details of his/ her credit card, pay by cash or cheque accompanied by a cheque guarantee card.


Abstracts and Posters

9. Can I submit my abstract after the deadline for submissions has passed?
No, that wouldn't be recommended as the remaining time is for publishing the abstracts in our brochure.

10. I am unable to give my talk. Can a colleague present on my behalf?
Yes, that is possible, as long as they are registered. If the deadline for registration has passed, they may register on the day. On the other hand, please note that changes to the Conference booklet cannot be made after the 31st May 2010.

11. After submitting my abstract, is it possible to make a few more changes?
Yes, any delegate is permitted to bring changes to their abstracts. However, changes received after the 31st May 2010 cannot be accepted.

12. Can I change the day/ hour of my talk?
Before the deadline you can request for your allocated day or time to be changed. We would be more than happy to help you to choose what is convenient for you.

13. Should everyone bring a poster?
To have a poster as well during the conference is optional. When requiring a flip chart for your poster, please give us the dimensions of it in order to match them.

14. Are the Conference abstracts published?
They will be published only if the author agrees with it.


Venue and accommodation

15. How do I get to the hotel where the conference takes place?
Full details of how to reach the Santa Marina Resort & Villas by air and road can be found on the Cancer Conferences' website.

16. Is there any car parking at the Conference venue?
The car park contains a large number of parking spaces.

17. Is the accommodation included in the registration fee?
No, the registration fee does not include accommodation. To book accommodation during the conference, please do let us know on or check the website for a hotel reservation form and for details about the venue.


Invited speakers

18. Do the invited speakers pay a registration fee?
Yes, all the participants have to pay the registration fee.

19. Does the Conference Secretariat organize accommodation for invited speakers?
No, everyone will have the hotel's details where the conference takes place and, if pleased with the prices, can book directly with them.
